The GLBT Domestic Violence Attorney Program

The GLBT Domestic Violence Attorney Program is a joint collaboration of the Gay Men’s Domestic Violence Project, The Network/La Red, and the Violence Recovery Program at Fenway Community Health. The state-wide Program provides free and sliding-scale legal assistance to eligible gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender victims of domestic violence. Through direct representation and the utilization of a pro bono network of attorneys the program aims to ensure that all GLBT victims of domestic are able to enjoy full access to the legal system and allow victims to pursue all legal remedies. The program provides safety planning, referrals and legal representation, including advocacy at restraining order hearings.

Boston Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service
The Lawyer Referral Service is a non-profit public service of the Boston Bar Association designed to provide you with an impartial referral to an attorney in your city or town who handles a specific kind of legal problem.

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) provides free civil (noncriminal) legal assistance to low-income people in Boston and thirty-one additional cities and towns. The help offered ranges from legal advice to full case representation, depending on client need.

Local Legal Aid Offices
If you are are elderly or disabled, or if your low income means that you cannot afford private help, your local Massachusetts legal aid program may be able to help you at no charge.
