Why can't I buy tickets online now?

Online ticket sales end on Wednesday evening February 11th so that we can prepare for the event. Ticket sales will resume at the Fetish Fair Fleamarket at the following times:

Friday, February 13th from 7pm-9pm at the Fetish Fair Fleamarket in the Westin Providence

Saturday, February 14th 111am-6pm, at the Fetish Fair Fleamarket in the Westin Providence

As of the closing of online ticket sales, Wednesday night there are still tickets available. Sales will resume at the times indicated above and will continue until supplies last.

What is the Fetish Masquerade: Creatures of The Night?

The Fetish Masquerade Ball is a big party that is held the Saturday night of NELA's Fetish Fair Fleamarket (TM) weekend. The evening is designed to never stop and ends up being a smorgasbord of sights and sound. Performances will pop up throughout the evening, an unusual bondage performance on one stage, a  sexy  flogging scene on another stage, and the whole time there is dancing to the goth industrial sounds of our live DJ, Punketta Doilie. We will also be offering a prom style photography section so for a small fee you and your friends can get your pictures taken to remember the evening and the great outfits you will be wearing.

Not only do you get to have fun, see great performances, and meet and dance with cool people you also get to help support a great cause. Yes, this evening is a party but it is also a fundraiser for The Network/La Red.

Who is DJ Punketta Doilie? Where might I have heard her spin?

DJ Punketta Doilie use to be a regular behind the decks at the now-defunct gothic outpost Manray. Punketts has spun at the best dark electronic events in the New England area, including Bloodfeast, Xmortis, Ceremony, Music for Robot Uprising, SMack! in NYC, and Dracula's Ball in Philadelphia, PA.

Her eclectic sets are comprised of various elements and influences, mostly electro and industrial, but with goth, noise, drum 'n bass, EBM, electro-clash, hip-hop, bit-pop, steampunk and/or synthpop thrown in.

She co-founded Angeldustrial, a community of similar-minded individuals who worked to expose the Boston-area goth-industrial scene to different flavors of dark electronic music and bring stellar foreign and domestic dark electronic artists to the Boston area, including Stromkern, Noisex, Hypnoskull, Department of Mental Health, Haujobb and Tunnel. She has been featured in the Boston Globe and profiled in the DJ Issue of Boston's Weekly Dig as well as the book "Bedroom Rockers: Where DJs Call Home" produced by Adidas Originals and XLR8R magazine.

She manages Provocateur a Boston-based electro-dance-pop band and was the resident DJ at Shelter a monthly dark electro-industrial dance party.For more information visit her website at www.punketta.com

Who is the Network/La Red?

The Network/La Red is one of the few domestic violence programs in the country that understands the difference between BDSM and abuse, and is dedicated to educating others about this difference. Throughout its 18-year history, this dedication has been evident in the organization's philosophy, publications, and outreach and education efforts. Over the past four years, The Network/La Red and NELA have collaborated on a special outreach program designed to educate other domestic violence programs, law enforcement officials, as well as people who practice BDSM about the difference between BDSM and abuse.

The money that is raised during The Masquerade Ball funds support services to survivors of domestic violence. The Network/La Red provides these much needed services to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender survivors as well as survivors from the BDSM community regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

What should I where to the Fetish Masquerade: Creatures of The Night?

We encourage Creative Fetish attire. This might mean leather, latex, denim, corsets, chainmail, rubber, liquid latex, etc... Think about the theme, wear something that makes you feel like a Creature of the Night, whether that means a vampire, other gothic characters, or a sexy animal. Go with the Masquerade portion of the theme and wear a sexy mask or hood.

Use your imagination, get dressed up in what fuels your fantasies and make sure that you are street legal on the premises (genitals covered, nipples covered, and at least a 1" strip for thongs) and arrive in more conservative dress. Besides, it is in January, it will be COLD outside! If you don’t have a fetish outfit, don’t let that stop you just slip into traditional black and you will be all set.

Is this a play party?

No, this is a dance party with some live fetish-themed performances. There is no play allowed at this event.

Can I bring my video camera?

No, there is no photography allowed at this event. We will have prom style photography available for a small fee to allow you and your friends a remembrance from the night.

Who is this event open to?

This event is open to everyone, 18 and over. Whether you are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, male, female, transgender, monogamous, or polyamourous you are welcome.

What is the age minimum?

You must be 18 or over to attend the Ball. Proper identification is required of everyone for admittance. You must be 21 to purchase alcohol at the cash bars.
